Thank you! It's on of my favorites too! Actually Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton (insert sad panda face) inspired it! I was always interested in their love story and how they fell in love on tour while at such different stages of their career. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I am a country girl at heart but I love all kinds of music (my brother is a musician and I can't carry a tune in a bucket so I'm very jealous of his talent!) Some of my favorite artists at the moment are Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Adele, Alessia Cara, Sia, Lady Gaga, Kiiara, Maroon 5, and always always Luke Bryan. ;) I actually don't read a lot of rockstar/musican books because I would never want to unintentionally replicate someone else's work but I did love S.C. Stephens Thoughtless series! And one by M. Leighton that I can't quite remember the name of but the male lead sings a Stone Stour song to the female and I died! (*goes to look for that book*)

That has become very tricky due to my traditionally published title's deadlines and release dates. Publishers like a 6 month window between releases (3 months before and 3 months after where you don't release anything else). I am also writing as Trinity Scott now (look for those books coming soon!) so One Last Ride (Second Chance #3 - Miranda & Jesse's book) is in limbo for a little while. My hope it to put it out in January of 2018 and then release a box set of the entire series. :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the atmosphere of concerts, rehearsals, and everything else surrounding musicians. I love the self discipline and drive it takes to learn to successfully play an instrument and organize music. The musician is always my favorite part because they're dynamic and complex and usually a hot mess. :)

This is such a good question, I wish I had a better answer. I've been writing stories in one way or another since I was in about 3rd grade and I truly have no idea why other than I had little brothers and they liked bedtime stories so I had to be creative and make stuff up a lot!

I will say that meeting Jennifer Echols in 2007 changed things for me. When I realized some chick in Alabama could be a published author I became a lot more serious about getting my work published. :) If you haven't checked her out, I highly recommend. Her book GOING TOO FAR is always going to be one of my faves.

This is like asking me to pick a favorite child and I just can't! I'm sorry! Every character becomes my favorite as I'm writing them. I will never forget Kylie Ryans though, and I think she is still one of the voices in my head and probably always will be.

Retreat by Jay Crownover. Y'all. I took this book with me to pee because I couldn't stop reading for five seconds. :0 #truestory

Are you a pantser or plotter when it comes to your writing? Do you write from beginning to end, or as scenes come to you?

This is tricky because I now have a lot of author friends, so if I leave anyone out I feel like I jerk. But here are the romance ones I've read and loved recently: Candis Terry, Jay Crownover, Elizabeth Lee, Elle Kennedy, Laura Kaye, Heidi McLaughlin, Alessandra Torre, Lauren Layne, Cherrie Lynn, Kylie Scott, A.L. Jackson, M. Leighton, Stacey Shannon, Lora Leigh, Pam Godwin, Callie Hart, Rachel Harris, Rachel Hollis, Monica Murphy, Kristen Callahan, and Lauren Blakely. :)

I can't pick a favorite baby!! ;) But I do usually recommend Leaving Amarillo to first time readers because it was the first one that was professionally edited and I think my writing was very strong during that time.

I write dark romantic suspense as Trinity Scott that will be available early 2018. I'm super excited for everyone to get to experience that side of me! Nervous too!

It's a tie between Kylie Ryans and Dixie Lark. They are strong and independent and bless their hearts, hot messes when it comes to anything other than music.

I think college-age characters are super fun because they get all the freedom and responsibilities of adults without any of the life experience. So "new" adult is the perfect title because they are new at it and it's the time to screw up and make mistakes and learn from them.

It used to be Peanut M&Ms and some type of caffeine but I've recently changed some life habits so now its caramel rice cakes and bottled water. Most importantly it's my music. I don't always listen to it but I always make a sound track as I go along.

This is one of the hardest parts of writing multiple books at once. Usually I dedicate several days in a row at a time to each story so I can stay in the right mindset. Sometimes it's just a matter of re-reading what I have so far before I start writing. Each book gets a pinterest board and a playlist so sometimes I'll work on those to get me in the right mainframe before I focus in on writing.

Honestly? Self-help or inspirational chick lit with romantic elements. I recently went through a major divorce, complete with an unplanned pregnancy and struggled with postpartum depression in ways I had never experienced. This has really fueled my desire to reach out to other women dealing with similar issues. Maybe one day...
