Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 92 comments My request is that you leave this series alone. Elizabeth, I created this universe listing based on the author's recommended reading order for a group read that is in progress. It says so in the header.

Previously, you changed the listing to have every book numbered consecutively, ignoring novella numbering systems, boxed sets and the like. You threw the group into chaos and it took me an hour to correct the listing. Your changes were not in accordance with librarian guidelines.

Please, leave the list alone. If you have a question, message me.

Empress (the_empress) Elizabeth/Jonetta, if there is a difference between the suggested order and publisher order you can make another series page to avoid this issue in future.

Example:
https://www.goodreads.com/series/9825...
https://www.goodreads.com/series/9825...

See the librarian manual here: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/4...

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 92 comments We had the order created when we started and can make that change when we've completed the group read. It's an issue to change it while we're currently reading the series as originally outlined. It's not that big of an issue as the books in question are intersecting series. We made a conscious decision about the order based on when these characters showed up.

What was the most problematic was the consecutive numbering of all the books. That was not in accordance with librarian guidelines.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 92 comments Elizabeth,

It might be useful for you to look for the topic in the manual prior to performing an edit. Using this as an example, you were editing a series. The thing to do is to look for that topic (series) in the manual and familiarize yourself with the guidelines.

The reason I'm harping on this is because it wasn't an "accidental" mistake but one that was done because you didn't read the guidelines. It took an awful lot of time to correct and since your profile is private, I couldn't even let you know of your errors. I just happened upon this topic here.

I've found that most of my questions are addressed in the manual. It's pretty comprehensive and covers most of the topics you'd encounter. If I'm unsure, I refer to it or pose a question to this group.

Hope that's constructive.
