I am particularly excited about this book, because Albert Einstein is such an iconic character. Every one of us has an idea in our head about who this man was, and I imagine this novel could change our minds quite a bit. It'll be interesting how the story reveals the potential personality.

Raeann | 21 comments I am halfway through the book (which I love and can hardly put down) yet I am still confused.... Is this fiction based on a real person? It reads like a diary but is a novel. I'm not sure I've read a book like this before.

It looks as though it is mostly factual, with some of the story fleshed out with speculation and fiction. Very interesting!

Raeann | 21 comments I really enjoyed the book as a work of fiction. And I really enjoyed the book as fact. However I don't like that I didn't know what was fact and what was fiction. I even read some articles and the authors note and I didn't find it clarifying.
I believe the events were probably factual, but the thoughts and conversations??? If she kept them to herself as the author supposed how are we to know they were accurate? And it is quite the condemning portrayal of Albert Einstein (though I am not surprised with his level of IQ that he nay have had a dismal EQ)

I have read stories with fictitious people in historical settings, but I don't feel like I can really know what was fact in this story, so in relaying it I'd have to qualify most everything...

But I really did enjoy the "story". So tragic!!!

Ana | 9 comments I had a similar concern though I enjoyed it overall. One of the challenges of reading novels about real people is the confusion between fact and fiction.

Is anyone else watching Genius on National Geographic? Mileva has been a central character in the show thus far. http://channel.nationalgeographic.com...
