SamZ (samwisezbrown) This month's book, Increase In Learning: Spiritual Patterns For Obtaining Your Own Answers by David A. Bednar was the winner of the poll! I hope everyone is able to find a copy and peruse it. In an effort to keep this discussion from feeling like a paper written for an institute class, I'm thinking that we should remark below on quotes/thoughts/ideas that hit us personally and you would be willing to share (kind of like a Sunday School discussion).

Katrina Lybbert | 72 comments I read the preface today and I am excited to read more. I had been waiting to start the book till I found the DVD. When I originally bought this book it did have the DVD in it, but it is not in the book now so I must have misplaced it. I did some searching but couldn't find it. I am going to just go ahead and read the book anyway.

Since we started this book of the month late... is there any chance it can be May's book as well?

Love the idea of having this as May's book too. I don't read these kind of books aa quickly as novels since I feel they should be studied and pondered

SamZ (samwisezbrown) Yes! I've recently decided to go back to college, so my pleasure reading time is VERY limited, and I agree that these books should be studied and pondered and not breezed through like fiction novels. Lets definitely extend this into May!

Heidi Tucker (heiditucker) | 2 comments My seminary kids gave me this book as a gift after four years of teaching early morning seminary. A great in depth "workbook" which digs into how we can better pattern our life after Him and learn to recognize promptings. The overall theme is that it takes work. I am motivated to prioritize my life to include more study time. Ultimately the Lord knows our hearts and that we are trying. I love Elder Bednar's statement on pg 203 - "The Lord knows who we really are, what we really think, what we really do, and who we really are becoming."
