Review: This was a goody. I don't remember much about this book from the first time I read it, but it's still a 5-star. Even though the plot wasn't complex, I loved the gore, the magic, the twists, the ideas. I also loved the way it was set before book #1, and it contained some characters from it. I think I did remember that (view spoiler)[Kernel was the Kah-Gash though, (hide spoiler)] I have no idea how I'd react to the knowledge that (view spoiler)[I'd been gone 7 years when it only felt like a few days! If I'd found that horrible picture of myself with the scribbled-out face, I'd probably leave too. Even if it hurt them again. (hide spoiler)] Short review but I'm done.
