priya (gpriyaa) (May contain spoilers of complete TMI series and maybe TID)

Throughout reading TID and TMI I developed an intense hate for shadowhunters and their greedy egoistic ways. Shadowhunters always seem to think of themselves higher than anything else because of their angel blood, and I really hate it. I hate it how the votes for downworlders lives are up to the shadowhunters, wasn't the whole downworlders representatives and everything supposed to bring together shadowhunters and downworlders? We all know it is, but still why are the shadowhunters deciding everything. They're stopping downworlders from doing things that are in their blood or stops them from doing what they're supposed to do. They stopped vampires drinking human blood which is unfair to vampires, they stopped warlocks from selling their magic which is unfair to warlocks because it's their magic and they stopped faeries from DEFENDING THEMSELVES. And it's them who bring the most problems to the world.

In both the 1800 and 2000 it was the shadowhunters that nearly destroyed the world but they never get punished for it they just push the blame on someone else. Like they did to the faeries with the mortal war. I know you all probably think the faeries deserve it BUT THEY DONT, what right do shadowhunters have to take away the ability for faeries to defend themselves? Well they should have none. The faeries were only standing up for themselves. They were trying to move forward and not have the stupid damned shadowhunter rules bind them up. And it was the shadowhunters fault all this happened on the first place if those damn angel loving demon hating freaks didn't mess up downworlders lives everything could have been fine but NO, THEY HAVE TO CONTROL EVERY FUCKING THING!

I agree with Emma if this is what they call peace war is definitely far better

Sab (unluckyducky) | 51 comments You know what though.
They might think they're better because of their angel blood but then again they've worked so hard and trained their entire lives to protest humankind. They're superior in some ways and they live to protect the world form downworlders. Okay maybe not all downworlders are bad, but a lot of them are and that's what the shadow hunters are there for. They are better in some ways and even though they are kind of suffering from hubris they really have a right too.

Sab (unluckyducky) | 51 comments Jus because it's in a vampires blood to drink human blood doesn't mean it's right. The shadow hunters are there to stop that. That's their job. They're the only race on earth that is born to protect and they take pride in that. They might have their flaws but none are dangerous enough to danger humankind.

Sab (unluckyducky) | 51 comments Lol sorry for the typos I'm on my phone and typing really fast.

message 5: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) No worries about typos

I see what your saying and I guess your right but I still really hate the shadowhunters and I haven't changed my thoughts on them. But it's nice to read another persons opinion

message 6: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) I meant in general not as individuals

Yea. U cant really look at all Shadowhunters and call them egotistical if many of them aren't. I can make quite a big list of Shadowhunters that arent very egotistical. So yeah ( ._.)

Yea! None of the Shadowhunters are Jesus either so they wont be very humble in some cases. Thats my opinion ( ._.)

message 9: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) I meant in general like in a group for example like when the vote about faeries were taking place in COHF. And I know there are a few shadowhunters that aren't egoistic but there are some that are like will Alec jace Robert and more

message 10: by Eri (new)

Eri (musicspeaksforemotionsunsaid) | 123 comments Alec is not so egotistical in my vision. But after the fae sided with Sebastian what do you think they where to do? Everyone was scared so you cant exactly argue with that. ( Robert is an egotistical ass that i can agree on) Jace well he is Jace by now im used to him being arrogant and such.

message 11: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) I think Alec is egoistic in the way of thinking he's better than downworlders or mortals it did fade out though throughout the series

message 12: by Caroline (new)

Caroline | 21 comments I think many are, and many aren't. I understand what you're saying (reading that part of COHF maybe me incredibly pissed at the Shadowhunters in general too, especially after they disregarded everything Magnus said and everything that had just happened). I totally think that Shadowhunters have a sort of 'better than thou' complex, and a lot of that is just the way they were raised and the way Shadowhunters generally and even unconsciously see themselves compared to mundanes or Downworlders. In the books, the main characters start out with this way of thinking when initially with mundanes (like Simon, though Jace was jealous and Jace is Jace lol so idk if that counts) and Downworlders, but it changes. So individually I don't think they're egotistical (not including characters that are obviously like Jace or Robert), but its kind of there in some ways.

message 13: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) Thank you for getting what I'm saying. But being egoistical is not my only reason for disliking shadowhunters I have many others and it's hard for me to explain because I'm not good with words

message 14: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) I get why the shadowhunters did it but I still think they were being to harsh and they didn't even consider looking at the faeries point of view

message 15: by Caroline (new)

Caroline | 21 comments I can totally agree with that last comment. By the Angel, that made me so angry reading it. Poor Blackthorns :( I hate the Seelie Queen with a passion, but she is not all faeries whatsoever and that was just a terrible thing to do. The majority Shadowhunters who voted for it just did not seem to consider future repercussions for it.

Eri (musicspeaksforemotionsunsaid) | 123 comments Priya wrote: "I think Alec is egoistic in the way of thinking he's better than downworlders or mortals it did fade out though throughout the series"

Ah heh... Hes dating one... and yea it faded. I remember how he would make fun or tell Clary that she was a weak mundane so i can see where that is coming from

message 17: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) I wish the vote wasn't so one sided it was like a rigged election

message 18: by Eri (new)

Eri (musicspeaksforemotionsunsaid) | 123 comments I have to agree with that. It made me mad that they didnt let them speak their minds -.-

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments Honestly all the enemies that almost destroyed them. the magister, Valentine, and Sebastian. they practically invented their own worst enemies. this judgement on the Fae is gonna bite them on the ass later on in the future

message 20: by Caroline (new)

Caroline | 21 comments Especially concerning Helen with her siblings. :( I like that her uncle stood up for her, what he said was true. It's infuriating that the Clave decided they knew what was best for the Blackthorn children without taking into account the Blackthorns' opinions and what the kids have already been through.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments Helen is probably gonna try and destroy the clave.

message 23: by Eri (new)

Eri (musicspeaksforemotionsunsaid) | 123 comments I honestly dont think Helen is like that... Destroying the Clave.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments If not her then probably the boy who was with the wild hunt

message 25: by Eri (new)

Eri (musicspeaksforemotionsunsaid) | 123 comments Mark? Eh maybe

message 26: by Caroline (new)

Caroline | 21 comments Lol idk about destroy the Clave (I'm totally bias tho I love Mark and Helen) but there will definitely be some hate there.

message 27: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) I don't think any of them will they don't seem like the type. I'm thinking maybe Emma

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments He has been with the wild hunt for five years. a lot can happen to a person in five years. especially when it comes to spending all those years with the Fae

message 29: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) True

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments Tessa's brother didn't seem like the type. yet ... look what happened to him

message 31: by Caroline (new)

Caroline | 21 comments That's true. And that's actually a pretty interesting idea Priya, from what we've seen of Emma, that could totally be possible.

Idk entirely how I feel about it, but that could actually be really cool, depending on how she'd get revenge lol

message 32: by Eri (new)

Eri (musicspeaksforemotionsunsaid) | 123 comments Priya wrote: "I don't think any of them will they don't seem like the type. I'm thinking maybe Emma"

Yea that makes more sense

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments I wish that the next big boss would be an actual nonhuman being. no traces of human in him or her. a pure evil demon. that's. what I want in the next villain. who knows it could be all the 7 princes of hell to make their move

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments Emma is the main character for the next series. how can she be the protagonist and the antagonist?

message 35: by Caroline (new)

Lmao i don't even know how they would get themselves out of that one

message 36: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) That would be utter disaster if that happened. But it would be so cool. (Wasn't it 9 princes of hell?)

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments Hey . look how Lilith got out ...

message 38: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) But that was only one mirical they would need 7 or 9 more :)

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments no that's nine circles. there r only seven princes. each one to to counter one of the seven archangels

message 40: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) What are circles, I don't remember hearing about them anywhere

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments each Prince represents a deadly sin

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments The circles of hell. they are mentioned in the divine comedy

message 43: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) What is the divine comedy, and do you know what ASMODEUS represents (and Lilith?)

message 44: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) Sorry I feel like I should know this

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments its a an old Italian story that tells a guy named Dante who travels through hell to save the sould of his wife Beatrice. it was originally written in Italian

message 46: by Eri (new)

Eri (musicspeaksforemotionsunsaid) | 123 comments Asmodeus is the demon of Lust XP EWWW. I just looked it up cx

message 47: by priya (new)

priya (gpriyaa) Lol who would of thought that

Wow that story sounds interesting I'm going to search it up and read it

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments Lucifer is pride.which basically suits him.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments its really old and long

message 50: by priya (new)
