Ok, i think the most basic thing to start with is SBURB/SGRUB
this is the title of the game that Homestuck is built around
first you need a server copy and a client copy of SBURB and at least two players. first one player will install the server and another the client then the first player will help the second player into the medium through a complicated process that i will explain later.
then the second player will install the server copy and either help the first player or the next player in the loop to enter the medium.
SBURB in itself is a The Sims style game that instead of virtual people and realities it effects the real world in the client player's home.

next i'll explain the sylladex to the best of my abilities.
the sylladex acts as your inventory, you are limited to how much you can carry by several factors; 1)how many captchalogue cards you have 2)your fetch modus
your catchalogue cards are your inventory slots, some fetch modi have a set amount of cards it can hold, others have a minimum amount of cards, others simply organize all of your cards.
the fetch modus is your inventory style or modifies your inventory in some way using a modus control deck.
an example of inventory style is the puzzle modus, this modus allows you to store your items of any size so long as you can fit it in a finite amount of space.
an example of a modifier is to the queue modus which would sort your items in the order you pick them up and you can only use them in that order, navigational modi can be added to modify it.

okay, now about the class/aspect system. this is entirely personality based, your personality is likely to match up with at least one Class/aspect.
ok the classes are;
Lord (male only)
Muse (female only)
witch (female only)
Heir
Mage (male only)
Seer
Prince(male only)
Bard
Sylph (female only)
Thief
Rogue
Knight
Page
the aspects are;
Time (Destruction/bitterness)
Void (nothing/meaninglessness)
Space (creation/kindness)
Blood (commitments/bonds)
Doom (laziness/futility)
Light (Everything/meaning)
Mind (logic/truth)
Rage (anger/fear)
Heart (instinct/feelings)
Life (energy/wealth)
Hope (faith)
Breath (freedom)
every aspect has an opposite (ex. Space and Time) the prince and the Bard veer away from their aspect and ghost the opposite
the Bard acts like the opposite until a personal crisis happens, then they freak out and have a realization and take on a completely different personality.
the Prince actively HATES his aspect and will do anything he can to destroy it, or will simply destroy it by ignoring it.
just some facts.
okay, so the only two that i'm sure are gender specific are the Muse and the Lord, the rest just seem to make sense. if you want to go with it if not look it up and post here what you find.

okay, now for the Hemospectrum, this is the blood color based spectrum that determines where someone sits in Troll society.
the lower you get on the spectrum the more likely it is that you will have a psionic ability of some sort.
the mutants are at the bottom, they have an unusual blood color or a physical deformity such as wings or a tail. they are killed as soon as they hatch. these are red blooded.
next is the yellow bloods these are considered the scum of the earth
next is the green bloods, these have unusual jobs once thy come of age. usually taking care of the Mother Grub.
next is blue, this is where Trolls start to consider themselves high blooded.
finally purple, this is the highest of the high, these are sea dwelling trolls that separate themselves from other non-sea-dwelling trolls, these trolls never work a day in their lives and treat the rest of the world as their murderous playground.
the Hemospectrum is far more in depth than this, but I don't have enough characters to do that.

okay another very important detail, you HAVE to have an even number of players, if not someone dies before entering.
if here is only two people there is a special circumstance in the class/aspect system, in this event your if you are male you will be a Lord of Time, if you are female you will be a Muse of Space.
there is no description for these on the link given, so i will give one here.
Imagine a Lord of Time as the ultimate jerk, willing to do whatever he needs to do to force the universe into the shape that he desires, no matter what he must do or how long it takes.
the changes made by a Lord of Time are typically slow and may take anywhere between hours and millions of years. this is due to the fact that the universe may not particularly want to change.
The Muse of Space ids the Lord of Time's polar opposite, the Muse is so unbelievably nice and encouraging that she actually inspires the very fabric of the universe to do what she wants. the changes that a Muse of Space makes are usually near instantaneous because of the fact that the universe doesn't want to fight it because it does it pretty much on it's own.
keep in mind that the Lord and Muse overwrite whatever class/aspect you were supposed to have so if you are one of these but you don't fit the description that's why. rarely these can occur in a normal session, but typically you will only see them in a two person session.
if two players boot up the game but only one makes it in, you are given what is called a Dead session, this is different from a Null or Void session in that there is a chance to survive, but you will either become the ultimate evil or the ultimate force of good.
whichever you choose you will have to face the other player from a different timeline.
if you choose to continue rather than die, you will be given a series of trials to prove your dedication, what the trials are is based on your personality, what you need to grow into your chosen path.
this is all for now, next maybe I'll talk about Null/Void sessions

Null and void Sessions
A Null session is a session where everything you need to succeed is there, but your success is just not a part of how things work, maybe it's a doomed timeline where something happened that wasn't supposed to or maybe your universe was just infertile, long story short hope you like being killed by meteors, or being erased from existence via Scratch.
A Void session works in a similar way but you do't have everything you need, maybe you didn't prototype pre-medium or maybe you don't have a space player. this can be fixed with a Scratch, but if you don't have a time player your pretty much boned, unless crazy intersession shenanigans occur, but don't put too much faith in that happening. (unless your a hope player then you CAN make it happen by putting all of your faith into it)

Okay, because i mentioned the Scratch i need to explain it.
The Scratch is essentially a reset button.
It will only appear on your time player's planet (no time player, no Scratch, no exceptions) in the form of some musically themed structure.
To activate the Scratch one of your party must break the structure in some way, such as scratching a giant disk with a sword.
WARNING:The Scratch should only be used as a last resort in case of a failed session. Activating the Scratch will result in the erasure of you and your entire timeline and will result in a relocation of the portals during the reckoning, which in turn will create an alternate universe that will have a new set of players and outcomes.

Ok, i think it's time to steer away from the end game antics that prevent you from dying horribly.
let's get back to the basics with an explanation of your kernelsprite.
This mysterious orb (or 2-D circle still unsure) has been following you around the house and making weird noises since you opened that Cruxtruder thing, (more on that later) you may be asking "What is this thing?"
This thing is your kernelsprite, this annoying (insert color here) orb is in fact an extremely deep well of potential. By simply throwing a random object into it, you can prototype this thing, it will take on the visual characteristics of the item. if the item resembles something living (or once living) the kernelsprite will take on its personality, be that helpful or nuisance depends on the other item you prototype.
ok let me explain prototyping further, you can do it twice, in order to have a successful session, you MUST prototype a least once before entering the Medium (again more later).
Now for the dangers. be warned that everything that you prototype pre-medium will be cast as a template for every enemy you face, so be careful not to throw in your knife collection or that fancy new video game with giant swords in it.
Now for the potential. this is an opportunity to bring back a beloved pet from beyond the grave, or a deceased family member (preferably not at the same time) or you could prototype something awesome pre-medium and then use your Sprite (more soon) as a sort of "OMG I god-tiered and died a just/heroic death" insurance plan, just have a friend dump your body into the Sprite.
ok now some more important stuff. once you enter the medium your Kernelsprite (assuming you prototyped it) will split into three parts, one a light colored Kernel, one dark colored Kernel, and your Sprite. the first two will leave and situate themselves on top of the (insert number of players) spires on top of the white and black thrones, this will trigger Skia's (more later) first evolution, allowing time to flow in the incipisphere(more later). As the light colored Kernel leaves it will leave behind a trail of seven rings, you must have your server player build up to the first one.
If you did not prototype pre-medium, thats it, IT'S GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER!!!! this automatically becomes an unwinnable session, Skia cannot evolve and therefore darkness wins the game, Skia is destroyed, and all players are stuck in Limbo for eternity (assuming you god-tier).
ok, for now I think i have covered mostly everything on this subject.

Oh wait, I forgot to explain the sprite, this will be your guide and most trusted friend, it can't do much other than explain everything very cryptically, but if you prototype a sword or something like that(you have been warned) it can really hand out asses on silver plates and other references that don't involve puppets.

next is the basics of alchemy as I understand it.
This will also bleed into starting the game, so pay attention.
first install the game. done? good. Next have your server player place down the Cruxtruder, this device will provide a colored material known as a Cruxite dowel. It will also serve as a countdown to Doomsday. once the clock reaches 00:00 your just screwed.
next have your server player place down two objects, the first is a machine called the Totem Lathe, this machine will make the uniquely shaped totems you will use in the next step, these are made using a punched captchalogue card and a Cruxite dowel.
next have your server player give you the Pre-Punched Card, use this in the slot in the totem lathe, then place your dowel in the clamps, this will automatically activate the lathe, use this immediately.
then have your server player place down the Alchemiter , this device uses the reusable totem and Build Grist to create items that you will use in your adventures.
simply place the totem on the small platform to the side of the Alchemiter, the arm will then scan the totem and make the item available in the Crafting Menu, your server player will then be able to select it and the item will appear on the platform, at the cost of some grist.
before you can do any serious crafting you have to create your quest item (made from the totem for the pre-punched card), this is essential to starting the game, this item will be free, no Grist required. this item is unique to each player and no two players will get the same item. It is symbolic of something to do with your aspect, with a time player you may have to wait, like Dave's egg, or you may find you need to just break it, throw it against a wall, bite it, sit on it, slash it with your weapon, it could literally be anything.
after that you will be transported to the Medium (Assuming you are faster than a meteor)

Ok i think i'v left you hanging long enough (get it), now for the description of the incipisphere.
this is the place out of time that has been eagerly awaiting your arrival and the place where most of the game takes place.
I'm going to start at the center and work my way out.
First is Skaia, this is the Battlefield that the unending battle takes place, and ultimately is ended on. After the end of the war, and after the reckoning, this is also where your space player will finish the Ultimate Alchemy (later) and seed Skaia. there's more about Skaia, but i can't think of it right now.
Next is Prospit, this is the golden planet and home of the White Carapaces (later), this is where the passive male and active female will slumber. when Prospit's moon passes through Skaia's atmosphere, the clouds of Skaia will show players glimpses of the past, present, and future. This also contains the Quest Crypts of the Prospit dreamers.
Next I will explain the Medium, this is neutral/disputed ground between the warring powers of black and white, and where your personal planets are located as well as the structure used for the scratch. the personal planets are the home of your consorts, the reptilian/amphibious colored residents of your planet, known as "The Land of X and Y", X and Y are parts of your planet's lore or general appearance, like mine would be "The Land of Darkness and Scilence"
Next comes the Veil, this is the ring of meteors that orbit around Skaia near the Furthest Ring, this is also neutral territory and you should expect to see numerous laboratories for genetic engineering of chess pieces for both black and white armies, if one of these mutants escapes, be afraid, be VERY AFRAID. At some point in the game, pretty soon before the reckoning, the first player to enter the game will find their way to the Veil to participate in a process labeled "Ectobiology" through which you will create either you and your co-players, or your ancesters, or, commonly, both. I won't go into detail with ectobiology yet, for now it's simple, but i will explain it later when I explain the Ultimate Alchemy.
Next is the Furthest Ring, this is where Durse the dark, purple planet of the black consorts, far from the beautiful light of Skaia (presumably this is why they hate Prospit), from it's moon, you can hear the whisperings of the Horrorterrors, the dark beings scattered about Paradox Space, these beings torment the dreams of those who have lost one of their selves (unless you make a deal with them about a dream bubble). these creatures are seemingly omnipotent, and can be extremely helpful, but be warned, not everything that they tell you is for your benefit.
That about it I suppose, i could tell you about navigating Paradox Space, but I don't feel like going through the stupid process of finding a map, and a ship that goes at the speed of light, so I'm just not going to. o!o (that's me flipping the bird right the hell off of this shit)

Now I guess I should TRY to explain the Ultimate Riddle.
The Ultimate Riddle is a culmination of bits and pieces of, poems, riddles, puzzles, or traps that come together to make you the best possible you.
For example, I have a very distorted sense of reality, really IRL, so a piece to my ultimate riddle may come from a challenge where I have to try to cling to what is truly real in order to escape from a labyrinth that has been manufactured by my own mind. Once i complete this task, I am given, maybe, a piece to a large convoluted puzzle, or a piece of the next riddle i have to solve, or a poem that i have to decipher a secret meaning to.
All of this may sound like grindy RPG bullshit that has no real purpose besides maybe getting a worthless item that you will never even use, but every little puzzle or turn in a temple is meant to teach you a life lesson of some sort, in order to build the best you that your personality can offer.
Another example, if I may be so bold, I have a fear of myself, what I am capable of and what I could do to someone, I may be forced to face a sort of "Shadow Link" in combat, this may be to teach me that I can conquer my own sinister urges and thoughts, that I am the master of my actions. as a Knight, this would also serve as my "It's kind of weird seeing myself running around doing stuff" you know Dave has a dislike of seeing other versions of himself and Karkat has his sort of past/present/future hatred of himself. It's a knight thing.
I recommend finishing the Ultimate Riddle before God-tiering. you can't use power that you don't understand.

Ok, now I should probably discuss the Tumor.
This is essentially a session ending bomb at the center of Skaia. This is caused by the players before you, in the universe before yours rushing or messing up with the Ultimate Alchemy (spoiler you make a universe)
This bomb is a cancer caused by either a lack of a specific gene or containing too many genes. this is a pretty difficult mistake to make so if this happens, i want you to find whoever made the universe, and kick them square in the seedflap.
This effects all but a few sessions generated by the cancerous universe, those lucky enough to not have the Tumor will likely create a cancerous universe, this gene will become dormant over the course of several universal generations, then only a few sessions will be cancerous, unless someone fucks up the Ultimate Alchemy again.
well that's it, it's game over man, GAME OVER! All you can do is hope that you can get the bomb out of skaia using something like a wallet modus and hope for the best. Hope you've got a massive wand laser or something like that just lying around! >:} HAHAHAHAH

ok, now I will explain the importance of your space player and why your SCREWED without them.
So, your space player will always be unique in the fact that their planet's name will always be something like "Land of Problem and Frogs". an example would be Land of Frost and Frogs, or Land of Frogs and Seas.
these Frogs are as well as the players colored amphibian/reptile because it is a part of the planets name. as an example i took an idea i had for an Undertale planet "the Land of Caves and Monsters"
this would present the physical presence of caves and the monsters would be sealed underground by the consorts of the planet, which i imagined to be human-like reptilians. the presence of the monsters as well as the consorts would present the point.
Okay back on topic the frogs are important for one reason, The Ultimate Alchemy, and maybe smaller purposes that progress lore.
Before you can do the Ultimate Alchemy (assuming you are the space player) you must first activate the Forge, The Forge is the volcano on your planet, it will be activated along the way in your Ultimate Riddle.
the space player is also unique in the sense that every single session will have the same Denizen, Echidna (Denizens are later). if you have a time player you will also need her quills to cause the scratch.
you must ask Echidna's permission to perform the Ultimate Alchemy, if she deems you ready, she will activate the terminals at the top of the Forge.
After the terminals are activated, you will then be thrust into the world of Ectobiology. if you want you can have your knight (if you have one) help you. On the screen, you will see your first frog being held by either you or your Knight, press the activate button to pull a paradox clone of the frog to the time you are in. then send your knight (or go yourself) to pick up the frog, repeat this process until you have what is known as the "Genesis Frog" if your lucky, your Ultimate Riddle will contain the genetic sequence for the Genesis Frog,
Remember, if you don't catch it at first, don't be too aloof to look back at the Ultimate Riddle, look for a word that is constantly repeated, or something seemingly meaningless that has a lot of emphasis put on it, it's entirely possible that you haven't completed your Ultimate Riddle, never stop solving seemingly meaningless puzzles, riddles, and challenges.
so this is your purpose, if you happen to be a Knight of Space you don't have to do this alone, get another friend to help you, it's okay, this is only a basic guide, each session is different, and each session has it's own rules.

oh, if you find frogs on the other planets, they are probably important to the genetic code. so, collect them all! (LOL)
