Krista, that's so frustrating! I went to my library today and I have 6 books I've been waiting for and I found out today that they aren't in the system yet either. I've had them on order for some time now and it's messing up my buddy reading. But there's nothing I can do, so I feel ya!

Kaia (view spoiler)[is in a bad situation! I have a feeling her mother and possibly her father too are alive. What I don't know is why they haven't gone to get her. Maybe they feel she's safer where she is? She seems pretty capable, but she is just a young teenager. I hate that she's all alone now with the exception of Oliver. (hide spoiler)]

Oliver (view spoiler)[seems to have a natural instinct for spin kicking. LOL He did say he hadn't ever done that before if I remember correctly. Kaia is suddenly suspicious of him but I really do hope she is wrong. I hope he's on the up and up! (hide spoiler)]

I like how this started off and it has my interest.

Kaia (view spoiler)[ is so suspicious of Oliver. I think something is going on but I can't figure out what. I definitely don't think he's a bad guy or anything. I feel bad for her losing her parents but I have a feeling at least her mother might be okay. I hope they both are somehow all right. She and Oliver have sure had their fair share of bad guys! Oliver (view spoiler)[has surprised me a few times. I couldn't believe how he stood up to that one big guy that was laying into Kaia. He is very protective of her and I do like that. I just wish they'd both be honest with each other and stop the suspicions. (hide spoiler)]

Jack (view spoiler)[sounds like a real jerk, and I hope he doesn't do anything or cause problems with Trevor and Robin. (hide spoiler)]

Oliver (view spoiler)[has turned out to be helpful and I'm glad Kaia has him. I can't believe he has such skills due to lessons in self-defense. I love his sarcasm and sense of humor. (hide spoiler)]

Kaia (view spoiler)[is gutsy or stupid. LOL When she said she'd jump if that guy shot Oliver, I thought she was crazy. I'd DIE up high like that! LOL I wouldn't jump for my kids and ALL of my grandkids. LOL Okay....MAYBE. But she's a tough cookie. (hide spoiler)]

Her mother (view spoiler)[is alive! I had a feeling she was so now I just need to know why she hasn't contacted Kaia. It has to have been to protect her. (hide spoiler)]

The action (view spoiler)[is a bit unbelievable to me. They've had SO many different people after them and they get out of their situations with a bit too much ease. The people after them are pros, or at least I think they are. So how are two kids getting the better of them? (hide spoiler)]

Kaia(view spoiler)[ I agree. she's had a tough go of it but I don't blame her for being suspicious of Oliver. he is definitely showing too much acceptance to what is going on and the fighting is a bit easy for him

I thought it was okay, but it's super hard for me to give only 2 or 1 stars. It has to be pretty bad for me to give it that low and I honestly like most of the books I read to an extent.
