I have a library edition that has not been added that I'd like to add. It has its own ISBN and was issued by Paw Prints, a specialty press just for library bindings. The copyright page retains its original press info (Touchstone, imprint of Simon and Schuster). Would I add this edition as being printed by Paw Print, instead of Touchstone?
Title page says Touchstone. The link I provided in my post confirms that all of Paw Print's editions retain the original publishers title and copyright pages.
My opinion is that the publisher should be whatever entity is on the title page (sometimes there are two entities and in that case you go for the more specific one). Paw Prints is the manufacturer of the book, but Touchstone was the actual publisher, meaning they liaised directly with the author, it was their editor(s) who edited the book, Touchstone paid the author.
You can see more info about Paw Print here.
