Need a new books, a lot of steam and longing :D

I haven't read for 3 months , and now I'm feeling that I really need som tips.
I'm quite picky but I will look in to all the recommendations I get :D
I have "just" finished 'the darkest London series' and soon the ministry of curiosities' two really good series.


So I'm looking for romance. (It can take place back in times, it can be paranormal, fantasy I'm up for it all, (just no with cops, fbi mafia and so on).
I want it steamy but not á la fifty shades of grey. Something in me says enemy love or perhaps forbidden love.
I want passion and feelings, i want them to be tortured by the longing for the hero and heroine to be together. (omg I'm so evil)
But i don't want it to just be sex and be together in the the beginning of the book, i want it to take time ( long time)

And a + is there is something greater going on than just the romance, like war, fight, mystery of some kind.

I will look into all the suggestions :D (I have my Shopping Cart ready to be loaded with awesome books)

Mind of the Phoenix. I've had a lot of DNF's lately and this book was a refreshing surprise. Really slow build in the romance department but that's what makes it so great.

I love all Kresley Cole's Immortal After dard series.Its the best i have read so far.U may not like the first few books coz i read them ages ago, but i guarantee the newer books r good.U may start with the first in the Dacian series as its the spin off,but i recommend them to everyone coz i am crazy about that series.

I just want to say that I have soon finished Mind of the phoenix, and Thank you!!! This was exactly that kind of book I was looking for! I'm totally in love with it :D

I've just finished Locke and Key by Cristin Harber. It's part of the Titan series, but can be read as stand alone. Loved it!
