You sound like me!! I like books like that also!! Umm... Well... OOOO!! I KNOW!! Spirit Animals 1-3!! They are only like 150-200 pages long and they are very adventurous. I don't know how you feel about fiction/fantasy, but it is a good light read (for me, anyways). Harry Potter is kinda long for a light vacation reading, but it is a good idea. Percy Jackson and the Olympians would fit your descriptions. Its EXTREMELY adventurous. OK-ly light. 200-ish pages. It will certainly keep you hooked, I can promise you that.. There are 3 of them, actually more but at least there are three in the series. I'll list the names of all the books I have suggested. Hope you consider!!! :-)
-Spirit Animals, Wild Born (#1)
-Spirit Animals, Hunted (#2)
-Spirit Animals, Blood Ties (#3)
-Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Lighting Thief (#1)
- Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Sea of Monsters (#2)
-Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Titan's Curse (#3) P.S. This one is my fav out of the series except for the 4th one.)

If you like fantasy and haven't read Harry Potter, DO IT.
"The Princess Bride" by William Goldman is excellent.
If you like dystopian, "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman. It's creepy though, so just be aware :)
