"Come on tobias." She poked his arm gently. "I know you're awake."

"Come on..sit up and take your medicine."
He had half sat up, when he heard the word 'medicine' and threw himself back down onto the bed, covering his mouth instantly.
"Come now..remember what we talked about yesterday?" She asked softly. "How about...if you take your medicine I'll give you a cookie?"
Tobias shook his head, not listening at all - he didn't even hear her offer.
She froaned and took his chin gentlt. "Not even for a cookie?"
His eyes were tightly shut, and he didn't want to hear her.
She moved closer to his ear. "Cookies."
He slowly opened one inquisitive eye.
She smiled, "if you take your medicine I'll give you a cookie."
He held his mouth open reluctantly.
She gently set them on his tongue and gave him some water. "Swallow and show me and then you get the cookie."
He swallowed, his distaste clear on his mouth, and then opened his mouth.
She loomed and smiled then handed him the cookie.
He smiled almost immediately, and ate the cookie.
She smiled and watched, "good job...now lets get you up and dressed and then we can head to my office for our tuesday session ok?"
Tobias nodded, and disentangled himself from the bedclothes.
She smiled and handed him some clean white clothes and then headed to the door to give him some privacy.
She came back in withba tooth brush and tooth paste and a comb.
She walked over and handed him the tooth brush and toothpaste. She began combing his hair.
He put some toothpaste on the toothbrush, and started brushing his teeth.
She finished combint his hair and waoted for him to be done.
He finished, and turned round so she could check he'd done it properly, because sometimes he refused to.
She looked him over snd smiled, "vood job." She appraised.
He smiled, and gave her the stuff back. Apparently they thought that in his more self-destructive moods he could harm himself, say, by shoving a toothbrush down his throat.
She took them and handed them to an orderly then held out her hand fo him, "come on." She did this often.
She winked at him and lead him out and to her office.
She closed the door lightly. There was an orderly standing by it. Zhe waved to his usual seat on the coucb and grabbed her note pad and pencil.
Tobias half-sat-half-lay on the couch.
She smiled, "good morning Tobias did you sleep well?" She asked after starting a tape recorder.
"Remember to speak sweetie." She tapped the recorder gently. "This can't pick up your movements"
"Yes," he amended himself, though as uncomfortable as usual at being reminded of the recording device's presence. He was illogically wary of it, not understanding how it could trap his voice.
She smiled, "good, and do you remember any of your dreams?"
She paused and looked him over, "nothing at all?"
"No," he lied again, though less comfortably.
"Not even an image?" She pushed, knowing he was lying.
She frowned lightly, "don't lie to me Tobias."
He shook his head again, "No dreams."
She sighed softly. "Alright." She shook her head and wrote something. "So..remember the exercise yesterday when I asked you to tell me a word?"
