This quarter, I chose hush, hush for my independent reading book. It was the first book I read that carried a theme corresponding to more “angelic” fantasy. There was a lot of moral ambiguity to a lot of the supporting cast and I would frequently change my opinions and thoughts about them as the story went on. The characters themselves were interesting enough for me to want to continue reading as well as the stories they were in.
In the context of originality, however, I can say there is no other book I read like this. But, I haven’t read that many books so my knowledge on how it compares to the vast majority of books is limited. Despite or because of this, I didn’t think the book was at all predictable, with it not really having a true ending. The story continues in the next installments which are divided into a total of four books, the first on being the one previously described. In all, I thought hush, hush was a unique book with many interesting characters and an equally interesting story and I can’t wait to read the later installments in the future.
