Meghan!! I'm so glad to see you. THANKS for adding books, and I love the humor shelf. I will get to work adding stuff too.

I just posted three of my books on the bookshelf. The Portal's gift is sci fi romance, a novella, and the first two books in the Dreamwalkers of Larreta trilogy. A fantasy set on other worlds, a blend of sci fi and fantasy romance. Enjoy!
Anyone have an objection to combining the young adult shelf (15 books) with the new adult shelf (3 books)? I know they aren't quite the same, but the distinction doesn't seem to have been maintained anyway.
What does the term "new adult" entail? "Young adult" seems directed at who the target audience is and "new adult" seems like it would be describing the character. If my assumption is accurate, then maybe "new adult" should be changed to "coming of age"? it would probably get used more than "new adult".
Because "young adult" is descriptive of the target audience, I think it should be left alone as a shelf name.

Also this just happens to be a timely topic since I just added two books that run right into this issue. :-D

Books mentioned in this topic
The Chains of Their Sins (other topics)The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (other topics)
Evenfall (other topics)
Also, I added a "humor" bookshelf, but can't remember if we had that before or not. So it's fine to remove it. *babble on*If you need my justification: It's just nice to have humorous vs. heavy/intellectual books distinguished from each other. For example, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is science fiction, but "In the Company of Shadows" series (starting with Evenfall) is so completely opposite in mood, that they seem like different genres. A lot of sci-fi seems to be that way, now that I think about it. Anyway... *babble off*
