Declan's Mom and Stepdad --ANGERED ME!! I could never isolate my child like his Mom did...i don't care what her fear was --it was stupid and don't get me started on Alan! How dare you!

I absolutely LOVED Declan...his turmoil hurt my heart! Like he was dealing with a lot!! When Juliet made that "loser" comment I wanted to punch her in the face! lol Like you do you think you are...you who are barely holding yourself together!! ugh

I was happy with the ending but upset bc i NEEDED more!! I loved Rev and quickly bought the 2nd book which is Rec's POV today and I can't wait to read it. 1) to see more and get more of Rev's story, 2) to hopefully catch more glimpses of Juliet and Dec lol and 3) To get more romance writing form Brigid(view spoiler)[

Okeyy soo her mother died same day declan messdup was expectingg..and i knew it wnt be true too.
Her mom having affair was expecting wen i read abt her frnd mentioning the hit and run occurd in diffrnt route frm airport..i smeled smthng fishy right then.
I loved all the characters especially declan..the characters are veryy deep.
Also i loves juliette and declan endng up tgether

(view spoiler)[ Oh my, so so many emotions already! This book is going to make me cry, that much I am sure of. I keep doing this to myself when I'm still in the throes of grief myself 6 months after losing my own mom.

I definitely relate to Juliet's character so hard. That scene with her dad and the camera equipment shattered my heart just a bit. I totally get her reaction.

Declan - man I cannot imagine the hell he has been through. I am looking forward to learning more about him as we go.

I'm curious how large their school is that they have no clue who they are talking about. My school was fairly large but I can't imagine not having heard about someone's sister being killed by their dad or knowing someone had lost their mother recently. (hide spoiler)]

i think his mother is choosing to ignore his stepdad behavior, Alan is not even trying to hide his hatred toward Declan, his mom act like he doesn't exist.
his letter about his dad make me think he might not be abusive. maybe a different kind of shitty.

i want to do that too, i had an exam yesterday so i didn't get to read much but i'm free today YAY!

he knows now that she's cemetery girl!i was so excited for them to finally meet as cemetery girl and the dark. i'm so glad he went back to help her with the car. but he should tell her it's him soon.

Alan is the one who pressed charges even though Declan didn't steal the car or hurt the guy in anyway! honestly i don't understand his mother, you would think after what happened with Declan's dad she will care more about his well being and not let some man shit on him all the time. the way Alan talked to him in the hospital made me so angry, why he didn't just tell him what's going on instead of making him worry and wait all this time.

also how an amazing friend Rev is, he's such a sweetheart.

i'm happy for Declan that his mom will try to work things out between them but she is still a shitty mom to me, all the excuses Alan said about why he treated him the way he did doesn't excuse anything.

i loved this book, it's been a while since i read a great YA.

I cannot stand Alan, or really Declan's mom. I loved how upset for his sake Juliet got when she heard the full story with his dad. Like, who lets a kid shoulder all of that?!
I adore how good of a friend Rev is! And how quickly Juliet took the baby and sent him after Declan when his mom was at the hospital. Really liking how their relationship is developing, just hope he's honest with her before it blows up in his face.
I also really like the teachers and how they're interacting and pushing each of our MC's to heal and move forward. <3 (hide spoiler)]
