This book is already being called one of the best books of 2017, what do you think? DO you think this topic needs to be addressed more in YA fiction? Was there anything in this novel that you didn't like? What was one of your favourite part(s)? What impacted you this most about this novel?

I absolutely loved this book. The characters in this book became so precious to me and they completely sucked me into the story. I have never read another book like this, and as someone who is passionate about diversity, representation, and social justice, I found this book refreshing and a story that was long overdue to be told. I don't think this book would have been even half as effective if it was not an own voices novel, which stresses again the importance of this diverse book. I loved absolutely everything about the book and, for me, I thought it exceeded the already huge amount of hype it was getting. There were parts and aspects where you could clearly tell Thomas was a debut author, but they did not take away from my overall enjoyment of the book. I could not put it down.
