I am so impressed! I keep saying I will do this but then I never get it done. :(

When I am separated from my husband we always exchange cards and letters (and phone calls) but luckily I haven't had to travel without him since a year ago!

I send out about 150 Xmas cards each year, and I write out the message inside each one ... most just a simple "Merry Christmas" and signature. I gave up hand-writing the addresses a couple of years ago, and now use a computer label to address them. I get about 100 in return ... but more and more they are printed cards with no hand-written message.

I got a long letter from my cousin in Mexico City last Xmas ... We usually hand-write messages in cards / letters to each other a couple of times a year.

I always hand-write a condolence message when sending a sympathy card. The last one was probably this past October.

A few girlfriends (in Arizona, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas and Wisconsin) and I regularly exchange cards / postcards at birthdays, Christmas or holidays. I just received three cards at Easter.

Ok, this might sound kind of sneaky but....I usually wait until I have received most of my Christmas cards before I send mine. Part of this is because I am a great procrastinator. Then I can see what others have sent. A card with a letter gets one back. A card with just a signature gets one back. One time I just wrote a form letter. I love to get those and read what everyone has done the past year. Most of them brag about their kids accomplishments. Believe me, my life is pretty boring so the letter was very short.

Morning. I'm up with the birds ... haven't used an alarm clock in years (except when I have a 6:00 a.m. meeting, when I set it for 4:30!)

Night. 3-4am is a normal bedtime for me.

In between. I don't like to get up super early. Afternoon and evening seem to be prime time for me.

I am definitely a night person. I used to work nights and loved it.

Thursday, April 27 .... What do you eat for breakfast?

message 63: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (melissasd) | 948 comments Book Concierge wrote: "Thursday, April 27 .... What do you eat for breakfast?"

Usually eggs, sausage and a banana.

message 64: by ilikeboox (new)

ilikeboox | 242 comments I don't eat breakfast because I'm sleeping. But if I go to IHOP, sometimes I get a 'breakfast' of eggs, white buttered toast, bacon and double chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and LOTS of syrup. (Now you see why I shouldn't eat breakfast too often.)

I don't always eat breakfast but if I make it at home I have scrambled eggs and sausage. If I go out I usually have some sort of omelet or frittata.

It's been so long that I don't even remember. I'm not a big fan of the movie theater.

I went to see Despicable Me 2 with my sister and great nephew when it came out in 2013. (love those minions)

Hidden Figures ... went with several girlfriends a couple of months ago (before the Academy Awards show).

I have to have a banana each morning. Other than that, typically nothing. But I did indulge in some bacon & eggs this morning because we had a treat in the office!

Sunday April 30 - When's the last time you indulged in some "me time"- and What did you do?

It's been a few weeks, but I binge watched Gilmore Girls. Haven't had time to finish to finish it through.

Got a massage in mid April. I get a manicure every week, but I barely consider that "me time" ... almost feels like one more thing to check off the "to do" list.
