Unfortunately there are only four copies of this book in our system, so we couldn't read it together in a month. The book looks really interesting though and I might check it our for myself!

I'm loving The Underground Railroad, definitely recommending. Also, Homegoing, by Yaa Gwasi. Both books are about the slave trade. Homegoing tracks generations of 2 sisters, one who stays in Africa, the other who is sold and is brought to America. The Railroad follows one main character. Both books are beautifully written, and will touch you as you travel on these journeys! I recommend both!
I read In This Sign many years ago. It's a great book about deaf culture, a subject close to my heart. Try to find a copy!
Whether or not we choose it, Lincoln in the Bardo looks like a fantastic book. Just added it to my want to read list.
It looks like there are lots of copies of The Roanoke Girls although I have a Kindle copy already. So many books, so little time!
Has a decision been made on the May book? (If I am not kicked out for my comments on "Small Great Things")

No, of course not, Lance! Your comments were insightful! You should have gotten a message with the information on our next book. Our May book is The Roanoke Girls. To reserve a book copy, go here.
