I'm probably not going to get too specific with the genres. Given it's only 6 reads a year I want to keep the subjects relatively broad so we get more of a range of nominations to pick from.So if I don't add your suggestion to the list, please don't be offended, it's not that I don't think the subject interesting it's just I think it already fits quite happily into one of the larger themes already identified (eg. Music/Performance Arts fall under the 'Arts' part of Arts & Literature and I'd be happy to accept Archaeology nominations in History month)
I'm not sure what genre this would fall under but crime? Books about specific criminals or criminal events?






In addition to our general/themed read each month, we will be introducing a bimonthly Non-Fiction group read, running in between our 'Read Around the World' months. The aim is to get the first one up and running in July.
Like our main group read, I will pick a theme each time so that we read widely from a variety of genres, and then let people nominate anything they think fits within that theme.
