Kim, will you only be able to read for two hours or was that a mistake? Amanda, do you have your own thread?

I saw the two hour read-a-thon as a build up event somewhere i the Read-a-thon threads. I wish I could remember where. Anyhow, it suggested reading two hours on the 9th, 24 hours over the week of the 9th through the 16th, and two hours on the 22nd. And posting about your reading, of course. It's meant to get you geared up for the big event. No games or prizes that I know of though. Just training to get you in shape, lol. As for the main read-a-thon, I'm going to read for as long as my eyes can stay open!
I've got 5 hours in so far for the 2nd pre-readathon. Hopefully I can get a lot of reading done tonight.
I'm so excited! I'm reading Written in Red and am almost done (I started it prior to read-a-thon). Great fantasy book!
Finished Written in Red. Now I can't decide if I should move on to the next Others book, or read something else. I think I've given my self too many choices.
My husband is participating with me this time. Yea! Makes it so much easier (less distractions from him). He just finished his first book, Bad Luck and Trouble. He really liked it. He loves the Jack Reacher books. Next up for him is Nothing to Lose.
I've fiished Austenland. It was really cute and sweet, just what I needed. Next up is...I don't know. I'm going to have to take a look around on my bookshelves. My TBR is huge, so there's so much to choose from. I can't believe it's 4pm already!

Reading Thirteen Reasons Why. I'm on page 64. It's really good so far, though I think it would be best read as an audiobook.
Mid Event Survey1. What are you reading right now?
Thirteen Reasons Why
2. How many books have you read so far?
Two and a half
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
Paper Girls
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
I had to take time to fix some food for myself and hubby. I've had to let the dogs out a few times, but otherwise have been interruption-free!
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
My eyes aren't tired yet. Seems like in October I had a pretty good case of dry-eye by now. I'm still going strong right now, though, and that's a good thing!
Just finished my third book, Thirteen Reasons Why. It was great! I'm getting a little tired, so I'm wondering if I should switch to an audiobook at this point.
Paper Girls sounds like a good choice for the second half. I usually like to switch it up with some graphic novels as the night gets longer! Enjoy the rest of your readathon!
Colona Public Library wrote: "Thirteen Reasons Why is on Netflix now right? Have you seen it? ~Ashley"I haven't, but I'm planning to watch it tomorrow, if I'm not brain-dead by then. I don't know about you, but I'm tired.
