Hi,

Yeah be very wary of paying cash to anyone. Most of these places don't give you much in return.

Look I just upload my books to kindle, CreateSpace and Smashwords and I don't pay a cent for the privilege.

I definitely recommend Createspace. I've used them before and I trust them 100%, and you also don't have to pay them anything.

Add Barnes and Noble to that list they make it so easy that you can send your file to titles@bn.com They will add you to the Sony Reader Library go to barnesandnoble.com go to the bottom qwhere it says 'for publishers'... It means published Indies too!

I used SmashWords and Create Space (for print), and CS also sent the files along to Amazon for the kindle version, since SW and Amazon don't play well together.

Each company takes a cut of every book you sell. I like this model because I don't lose anything, unless I buy a thousand books from create space and don't sell them :P

Regarding the ISBNs: You will have a different ISBN for the print version and the ebook version. You can add the ISBN number from SW to the Kindle copy, but you won't be able to cross print-to-ebook.
