Overdrive 'parameter is incorrect' error

I'm having a problem transferring a borrowed Overdrive MP3 audiobook to my MP3 player, which I've done successfully before, though not recently. And it's as if it doesn't recognize my MP3 player, which is an Eclipse rather than an Android/Apple device. The error it shows reads 'parameter is incorrect'. I noticed it saying that iTunes was required, but I thought logically that it should apply only to Apple devices. Does anyone know anything about an error like this? Do I just have to use iTunes regardless or can do something about this?

OS I'm using: Windows 7

MP3 device: Years old Eclipse 180

Well I may have solved my own problem. I just tried it a few more times and out of the blue, it started working like nothing was ever wrong. Unless this inconsistency is something other people have had problems with, I suppose please delete this thread.
