[important] How It Works & Folder Requests

Welcome to the writing portion of our group! There are two ways you can share your words:

1) Post a single topic in this folder for each story you write
or
2) Request to make your own folder & post topics however you wish

If you choose to post inside this folder, the steps are easy.

◦ Step One
You make your topic w/the story posted as the first comment.

◦ Step Two
If it is a work in progress, save a few comments with a dot or space so that you can edit them later and have the whole work above the comments on your piece. You may need five-ten comments, depending on the length of your writing.

◦ Step Three
Title the topic you make the story title & have a short description before it in the comments. (EX.: Title, Genre, Warnings, Brief Summary, Etc.) If you don't have a title yet, just say "Untitled, [Genre]." (EX.: "Untitled, Fantasy")

◦ Step Four
Let people comment and give you feedback!

If you choose to have your own folder, you can be more flexible with your own topics. Here are some ideas to help you get started:

◦ First Topic
One thing you could do is make a topic explaining how things will work in your folder. (A moderator can make this topic the first in your folder upon request.) It's just a simple way to let readers know what to expect when they go through your folder.

◦ WIP
Many people post topics that are works in progress to help them get feedback. It can sometimes be confusing to post a lot of WIP and have comments within them, so sometimes it can help to leave comments with blank spaces that you can add to later, or make another topic just for comments. Either one works, but commenting beforehand can be tricky if you don't know how many posts you'll have in the future.

◦ Characters
It may be fun to post character topics describing each character in your story! Especially for WIP, which can be unclear at times without the full extent of your thoughts out on the page.
