Nick; I can see Bev coming across as someone between 12 and 15 since there is little difference... but any more than that is a stretch of the imagination...

Not really, the Actress who plays Moaning Myrtle in Harry potter is actually in her mid 30's when she played the part. Now to look at her you would say she is no more then 13.
I'm thinking this isn't really a very appropriate conversation. Not your comment mrbooks, but probably mine.
Ben wrote: “To my knowledge, flirting is defined as 'expressing a playful sexual attraction’. This would make her fully aware of what she was doing..."Are you serious here? She was a child, a pre-teen at best. She was flirting as a distraction, which is so utterly different from flirting with the intent to turn someone on or take things further. In her situation, the onus is on the adult to not be a perv; the responsibility is not on the child to control the adult’s behavior. And the fact that you’re talking about the inner sexual prowess of a child continues to be gross.
The definition I prefer for flirting is : behave as though attracted to or trying to attract someone, but for amusement rather than with serious intentions. That fits better with what Bevvie was doing to the pharmacist, I think.
Ben wrote: "I don't know about you, but in my opinion, any 12 year old who flirts with an adult even as a distraction (or for any other reason) is just as "gross", in my opinion...."My dude, this is the point where you should really stop talking and rethink things. But based on your past comments I doubt you're going to, and it's not my job to dissect your problematic thinking with you, so I'm just going to put you on ignore.
Remember folks we are in Derry Main and not everything is what it seems... since all that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream. I stand amid the roar Of a surf-tormented shore, And I hold within my hand Grains of the golden sand-- How few! yet how they creep Through my fingers.... but ain’t that America you and me... ain’t that America something to see... ain’t that America home of the free... yea pink houses for you and me....
My God why is Ben so full of anger towards SK?His novels are both the best I have read and equally understated for horror books. If you compare him to Richard Laymon for example SK's narrative is far less explicit.
If something offend, and it takes a great deal to offend me, stop reading, turn the tv over or off or walk out of the cinema surely?
I have turned The Human Centipede off as I just felt it was sick and Hostel 2 because it was torture porn.
SK on the other hand addresses everyday issues brilliantly in his books in the realm of horror. That's why it is so brilliant because it touches all of us.
As I've stated before Stephen King is my favorite especially his newer works of fiction but I have to somewhat agree with Ben. I say what because Bev was portrayed as much too old for 12.
Kandice wrote: "I read that Jessica Chastain has been hired to play adult Bev."I like her, I think she could be good in the role.
Emily Rose as Bev with Lucas as Bill and Eric as BenJason Lee as Eddie, Damion Lewis as Stan, Seth Green as Richie, Andre Braugher as Mike
It will be interesting in how they deal with the multiple time lines and if they will be consistent with Mike being the central character in bringing everyone back to Derry breathing in all that Derry Air....
Oh my gosh, this is my joint all time favourite movie. It may be dark, sad, brutal, but it has so much heart in the Losers Club. The kids that played the characters all did fantastic, and the film wouldn’t have been the same without their compelling and emotional performances. Honestly makes me look at the book differently too, as I can pair faces to characters, and I think it adds a lot more depth. I’m guilty of not enjoying the 1990 miniseries, but this film was honestly incredible. Bill Skarsgård should’ve won an Oscar for his chilling performance at IT in the form of Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
