I unfortunately, do not have an author's account yet. Kindly let me know how to get one.

I clicked on the link you shared. It still says, "Follow Author". Would I have to wait for some more time? Or am I missing something here?

At the bottom of that page you'll see an "Is this you? Let us know" link. You can use that to claim the profile.

You have to click on that "is that you? Click here" at the bottom of the page, GR staff will approve you then. (will take some days depending on their backlog)

I have already done this several times Lethe. Still, it seems to be separate.

Unable to rectify this issue, I joined 'Goodreads Librarians Group' as that was the alternative suggested

Ok, But its definitely been over three to four months since I raised the first request.. Hope things are resolved soon. :)

But the now existing author profile didn't exist before so you couldn't claim that one.
So perhaps this will work now.
