I am totally on board with this read! It is on my TBR and I actually read 90% of the book about one year ago and then I just did not continue because I did not own book #2. It also works because book #4 will be out in August!
Cool I'm in as well I found this book on goodreads and I really like the cover for some reason and the story seems interesting I can't wait to start it
I may join. I was out because of my Malazan schedule but I should be finishing it ahead of time.

So many books I want to read next month...*sigh* This has been sitting on my shelf for a while, so if I can get my other buddy reads done, I'll join.
Thought I might try to read a couple of pages of this book just to see what it's like and help me with my reading problem and I'm slightly confused yet interested as to how the story is set and the fact there is an illustration of a man on the first chapter which is nice 😂😂
I'm about to finish Return of the Crimson Guard. Normally I had Toll the Hounds planned after it. Malice was another option, but as it seems a lot of people aren't really into it, I'm considering this one as well.Is there already a full schedule planned for the next books?
One book each month?
I don't think there is one yet but there may be one if a lot of us enjoy the book but nothing concrete yet
I finally started out with Toll The Hounds ... I couldn't resist the temptation :-)This still remains one of the series I'll look into somewhere in the next months (or when I've finished MBotF).
i already had this one on my TBR. Maybe this will give me the push to get started. i have heard it's really good.
I've read a couple of chapters well try to since there a bit long than I'm used to and its a lot to take in more than usual and I don't think I've seen a book that captures medieval fantasy like this and I'm interested with the premise of the wild so I'll be patient cos it is slightly difficult. However the illustrations of the Red Knights gang look really cool and I'm wondering how historically accurate some of this stuff is since the armour and swords look really nice
Risking to repeat myself, I actually read 90% of the book last year and never finished (a bit because it is a series and I did not want to finish the book without having the sequel, a bit because I got distracted...). I will wait for you guys to be more advanced in the read and I will join to finish the book!I actually liked the book so much. I picked it up in Malta - at the airport - and I loved it so much!
That's alright and to be honest I don't read much medieval fantasy but I am enjoying this and it feels so rich as if I'm in that time period where bad shit like war was a common thing to people and seeing the details here and there makes it more amazing to me
Ahdam wrote: "That's alright and to be honest I don't read much medieval fantasy but I am enjoying this and it feels so rich as if I'm in that time period where bad shit like war was a common thing to people and..."The best part of the book are the fighting scenes, at least for me. And there is a reason why: Miles Cameron actually fights with medieval weapons! It is such a peculiar skill set and the fact amused me at the time and still does!

I even watched a youtuber who collects swords and reviews them and I find it really interesting as he reviews swords from manufacturers which were based off of history as well as fantasy weapons (he even looked at realism of the shard blade in storm light archive) and lets say I find that stuff really interesting
I don't know how to buddy read, but just started reading it now as well! I should be done before the expected finish.
Sooooo I'm listening on audio.. is this set in our world in medieval times? Because they're talking about Jesus and nuns and etc etc
Enjoying the gritty feel though. And I like how the Nuns don't play no shit

I may come back to this since it is a different book than I'm used to maybe when I have enough time so I hope your able to enjoy it Margaret because it does sound interesting
I started this book then put it down for another time. I read a page long description on a field and sheep. 😑
