I started this a couple days ago when my preorder came in, and I'm really enjoying it so far! Interested to see what you all think of it!

I'm about 160 pages in and really enjoying it! The first hundred pages were fantastic, but the last 60 were a little slower for me. The story is very odd, but incredibly unique and imaginative. I've very interested in where the story is going.

The first part of this book felt to me like it was told in dream form. Or from a delusion. I felt like my head was full of cotton and wonder. I don't think I have ever felt that way from a book before. O.O

I like Strange. I find him to be really fun to read about. I love that he has a dream and is full of wonder.

I thought I liked Thyon. (view spoiler)[But now that he has stolen Stranger's work and dream I find I dislike him. (hide spoiler)]

I've just gotten to the part (view spoiler)[where the strange gold like girls are in the garden and the amorous one kissed the guy. (view spoiler)[I'm looking forward to reading more about them. Same. It really did feel like it was written in a way that makes it feel like a dream.

This is actually the first book ive read by this author, so I dont know how her other works are. But so far, im liking the writting

Review: (view spoiler)[I don't even know where to start with this review. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to know that this was written while on medication or some other form of hallucinogen as it made my brain feel as if it was full of cotton and wonder. First time I've ever felt that way reading a book. O.o

I had some difficulty with the names and characters since there was such a large cast. I prefer a smaller cast as I have a poor memory but overall I loved Strange and Sarai. I also liked Sparrow, and the other godspawn besides the little evil girl. I was really sad that Sarai died. The author did a lot of foreshadowing in this book though. Now we know the blue girl from the prologue was Sarai. And also I suspected that Lazlo was a godspawn a while back.

I really liked the setting for this book. I thought it was mystical and dreamy.

I did have some difficulty with all the terminology. I wish Laini had included a glossary as I was often confused.

I really hope that the evil little girl is defeated in the next book which I am now dying to get my hands on!! (hide spoiler)]

I really like the characters, especially Sarai and Strange, and the other godspawn, except Minya.

Omg, I completely forgot about the prologue, all this time it was right there. It wad really sad that Sarai died. I wonder what will happen in the next book. Although shes still here, but the evil little girl now has complete control of her, so very interested to see what happens in the next book. Cant wait!
