Desfam07 | 2 comments I read this book I believe within the last ten years. I believe the Hero was beaten by the heroine's father or some family member and the heroine believed he left her. I can't remember if they were betrothed or secretly wed. They meet again because he is showing her a townhouse he either owns or is an investor/builder. I believe this book is the second in a series about 2 or 3 brothers. I'm not sure she recognizes him right away and she may have also had a child he doesn't know about.

I read so many so often I may be jumbling some of the details with the exception of him and her in the townhouse together.

Thank you

Aneesah (bookfiend88) I don't know if this is right but the mention of a townhouse the hero was showing made me think of The Walshes series by Kate Canterbary. That series had something to do with real estate (at least the first book which is the only one I read did). Anyway, I sent a ton of emails to my GR contacts last week in search of a book I'd read but complete forgot the title and author of so believe me, I feel your pain. I hope you find what you're looking for!

I think the book you're looking for is Demetriou Demands His Child. Hero is beaten up heroine's father's goons.

This hero was in IT though.

Desfam07 | 2 comments Thank you both for your responses, however it is neither of the books you mentioned. It's definitely set in London and either Victorian or regency period. I've done numerous searches and still no luck!
