First thoughts and further impressions

I'm about halfway through the book. It's basically the movie script, but I'm enjoying it overall. Not super impressed, but it's kept me entertained while I run (listening to the audiobook).

I'm so glad you commented, Heather, because I was planning to return the book today and really should go back and finish reading the Introduction.

I felt the author's introduction and commentary throughout the book to be mainly annoying. When I mentioned this to someone who had watched the movie, they said it was part of the movie and was awesome. I returned to the book with a new outlook.

However, I still found his constant chatter to be erratic, distracting and annoying. When the story was actually being told, I enjoyed it, but feel that too much was left out (if it was ever actually there, who knows!).

I have finished the book and could keep going, but just remembered this is a "First Impressions" posts so I will end here.
