What a great book! It was such a pleasure to read aloud to my eight year old son. It tells the story of the Bauderlaire orphans, who move in with their 'relative' Count Olaf after the death of their wealthy parents. Count Olaf is determined to get his hands on their inherited fortune, but the clever orphans will try everything to stop him. This book is full of dark humour and for this reason I don't recommend it for children who are too young, but my son and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be continuing with the series.

I'm sure you will pass me in reading these, I'm on #4 now- but the are not a priority. The Netflix show is pretty fun- super quirky.

I can't wait to watch the show Joi! I heard it is an adaptation of the first three books? We're going to read them first, of course, and then watch it.
