Mathar and sir did this for winter ..they knw there is no one to stand for winter..its been years nw..
King naom doesnt ally with them but just give them shelter..he doesnt want to get in between their war..idnt like him at all.he is doing this to get benefits frm winter.
This love triangle is nt a weird one coz she was nt cmpletely involved with both of them..

Ch 8 (25%) - (view spoiler)[ This budding romance with Mather is kind of creeping me out a little because I have a feeling that they are related by blood and Sir just isn't telling her. I have a theory that they are actually twins and she is the Conduit keeper for Winter. What better way to hide her than by not even telling Meira who she is? (hide spoiler)]

I’m still very worried there’s more to him than he’s letting on but I really really hope he’s not great actor and manipulator but is sincere. I’m still waiting to see what make the heroine so special. I was thinking some royal blood but now that that doesn’t seem to be the case I’m leaning more towards her having power or her own affinity to magic. Time will tell. (hide spoiler)]
