ABANDONED. Sci-fi action thriller, guy has telekinesis, is ex-military, gets mind wiped, has blonde male antagonist.

this book is one that has eluded me, I can't remember the name. So it starts out with this guy who is tied to a bed, with his wife or something tied to a chair, and this blonde antagonist is talking to them, and then the other thing i remember is that the guy has the opportunity to kill the blonde guy with the gun, and he figures out he is ex-military, and that he has telekinetic powers and lifts stones and can manipulate the world. I really need help to figure this out. I remember the blonde guy maybe having a scar on his face? And i do remember one part where the protagonist is kneeling on the ground because he thinks he can't do anything with his telekineses, and then he screams and all the stones around him get lifted up thousands of feet into the air. Someone help!
