To The Lighthouse : Week Four

The next morning, Mr Ramsey and the children finally set off to the lighthouse, though they are now part of a different world than they started in. Lily resumes her painting, and works to reconcile herself with her life and thoughts, and finds herself removed from the spell of Mrs Ramsey as time brings a better understanding.

Yes, she's now going to be the main voice that we're following. I have to say, it bugged me before, but one could always say,
"well, that's Mrs R talking", etc. But now it's VW, no one else to blame. I'm tired of the references to her "Chinese eyes and scrunched-up face". Geez......yes, they were different times, but she's hitting it with a sledge hammer.
This campaign of war that James is waging against his father.....so sad.......he's putting so much energy into his hatred and at the point where I am, is risking losing his relationship with his sister, and I'm sure he's probably forgotten the origin of his hatred, if he was ever able to articulate it to himself. It's taking so much of his energy, this hate.
