When Sam decided to try and seduce info out of her .... I just knew it wouldn't work. Sam wasn't built that way and he really, truly liked Abbie. Abbie really liked Sam and was devastated at his deception. But she needed him to save Cory and stuffed her hurt down in order to do that.

That initial deception soured me but Sam really stepped up. From there on out, I loved their relationship.

I thought it worked as they went out 4 times and got to know each other before the hook up. After the betrayal every action he took was to keep her and Cory safe and make it up to her.

True, they did get to know each other and that is what I think Abbie held onto when she discovered the deception. She really did know Sam, just not all of him.
