Jo and Stevie get swept up in the kidnapping of Grace and Scott. Why didn't they just leave them?

Angela | 155 comments Good question. They could have as the identity of the masked intruders wasn't clear. Could Bridger have believed the could have obtained more money? I'm really unsure why they weren't just left at the house.

That was a sticky issue for me. It seems as if four would have been too much trouble. They could have locked them in a closet or something.

Angela | 155 comments Agreed Jonetta. It would have seemed the easier choice to leave them behind and just take Grace and Scott.

Phrynne | 607 comments I also thought that they would have left them tied up at the house. There was still time for them to get clear before anyone discovered Jo and Stevie. Bit of a weak plot line but it made for a more exciting story!!! It also made sure Cork was fully committed to finding them.

Angela | 155 comments It makes complete sense when you put it like that Phrynne. It was a way to have Cork more invested in the search.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I agree with you, Phrynne. It was a bit of plot contrivance to give Cork even more of a reason to be involved. In real life, I'm afraid that Jo and Stevie might even have been killed.

Maybe so. As we know, it was the plan to kill Grace and Scott.
