Nathalia (uutopicaa) Hi! I have a question.

First of all, I apologize if my English is not perfect. My name is Nathalia and I'm a writer from Argentina.

A few years ago I built my own official website but as time goes on, I would like to get the website re-done by a professional.

Thing is, when I asked in my country, most programmers ask for 5 o 6 thousand dollars and I don´t know if that's too much or too little. A few people like me (who knows the basics about web design) asked me for as little as 100 dollar but that's not what I want. I want something professional.

So, question is.

Did any of you get your website professionally done?
How much did it cost?
Can I see the link?

I'm sorry the post is so messy, I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say. And thanks in advance for your answers =)

Since we frown on members posting their web sites and any other personal links, please don't include your links in your responses to Nathalia. Answer her other questions and if she wishes to see your web site, you can send her a private message to do so. Thanks.

Katherine Stillerman (goodreadscomuser_kathystillerman) | 14 comments I developed my own web site from Word Press and then later got professional help to update it. I was able to have the work done for around $1000 by a company that works with nonprofit organizations and small companies. In comparison to the other estimates I got on the work, that was very reasonable.

Pamela Beverly (writesistah) | 54 comments My situation was similar to yours, Katherine. I developed my own website but a few years later had it done by a graphic designer, for a total of $875.00.

Good luck, Nathalia.

I'm sorry I did not understand all the rules.

Briony Smith | 28 comments I don't know what you have on your website but you can likely bring the price down by simplifying it. Any kind of e-commerce system will defiantly shoot the price up. I would highly suggest sticking to the free website builders of the internet, they're easier to maintain.

If not I would maybe reach out to a local university or school I guess and see if any newly qualified graphic designers are looking for a project to boost their portfolio.

Nathalia (uutopicaa) Hi V. M.! I do have a website already, but I built it myself on Dreamweaver and it doesn't look professional. I already have a domain and a hosting service. I'm just looking for a good price to make a better looking site to replace the one I already have (in the same domain). I do use WordPress and Blogspot for other stuff I do though =p

Nathalia (uutopicaa) Thanks! That's what I was looking for =) I'll go check them out.
