Read this awhile ago but can't remember the title. Main characters meet at a wedding. They have sex over the weekend. I believe the hero is some sort of military man not sure if he is a seal or special forces and will be getting deployed. The heroine ends up getting pregnant, but can't find him. Her child - a young boy - misses having a dad and makes up stories about what his dad does. He tells people he is a spy or someone really important and can't be there. The heroine has hired, what she believes is a college student, to live with her as a nanny in return for free room and board, but that woman is really an assassin. The hero has been secretly keeping an eye on the mother and the son all along. The mother hears noises in the kitchen and sees the hero and the fake nanny fighting with guns and knives. The fake nanny ends up getting killed and the hero takes both the woman and son with him for protection. The female lead also has severe asthma.

why did the "nanny" want to kill the h? There are a lot of books with this idea being published right now, and the motivation of the "assassin" can be very different, so if you have any memory of this, that might help in narrowing down the list. (At least, my 3 cheap/on sale books lists that I get emailed to me every day always has a lot of books in this sub-genre listed.)

I don't know if the H was a spy or not. I believe the nanny was a hired assassin in retaliation against the H.
