The first reading of 'series' began,for me,with Harry Potter!Honestly,up-till like grade uh 6- I was averse to reading ANYthing that was hyped and everything. I still remember my friend insisting that I read at least the first book,but heck I was stubborn as a..whatever:P
But When I DID read it, I was like "W-O-W"! Someone actually WROTE that stuff??-it amazed me SO much,believe me,that I messed up a lot of my academic years till I finished the series!(Yes Years 'cause I had to wait AGES for the books at the library )
It was beyond my comprehension as to HOW a person could possibly write like THAT! The story,the characters,the-everything left me drooling for more(Pardon the exaggeration :P). After HP,I never looked back-I read and read and read:
It kinda made me want to explore new genres,new authors-You get me?
After Enid Blyton as a kid(SHE is responsible for making me love books),it was JKR who made me hang on to books like it was the ONLY way to survive the world or something o.O
(THIS was no exaggeration-I've to find new words to express my thoughts and opinions,I think.)
I really hope you get what I am trying to say here ? :P
Uh so Basically- HP is the best! Yet to find a series that can overtake it as my all-time favourite :)
Harry Potter influenced my life. It made me fall in love with reading. It's timeless and everyone should read it-a child or not. Harry Potter shall always be remembered... Always... :'(POTTERHEADS SHALL RULE THE WORLD!!! XD
