As long as I'm alone here, all is well.

Fire Type (FireType) | 13 comments Hello. I see the group hasn't been active for a while, so I'd say you're on point for the procrastination aspect :)

Anyway, I'm Fire Type (and if you said that's not my real name, you'd be right) and I am very good at procrastination. Your group called to me. So. I currently have five active projects, all of which are on hold at the moment. I hope I qualify for the group.

Oh, and in accordance with the rules...
You should be writing; I should be writing; (insert endless state of depression here).

Ha!

Great to see I'm not alone. I have 12 projects I'm working on, 3 of which I'm actually happy with.

My names not really Lilligan, obviously, and procrastination is the enemy I fight every day.

It's nice to meet you!

Fire Type (FireType) | 13 comments Likewise. I just looked, and you have another member. Maybe (and I just joined yesterday, but here's my novice opinion) you could rename the thread, or make another one, for introductions? Or a random discussion? I don't know. I've been on this site for two days :)

Sure, sounds good. :)

Fire Type (FireType) | 13 comments Alright, I started an introduction before, but I should probably expand it.

I am Fire Type. I write (occasionally), read (often), and engage in pointless online discussions (all the time). I love science-fiction/fantasy and hard science fiction. Some of my favorite authors are Michael Crichton, Jack McDevitt, Hugh Howey, Andy Weir, Ernest Cline, etc. You can see these on my profile.

Let's see, what else? I haven't started a blog, and probably won't for a while. I do have a fanfiction.net account, but I have not posted anything. Basically, I'm just starting out. I write short stories and start novel ideas, and I'd love to finish something, but online discussions are just more tempting.

I have two dogs and one cat. I don't know what else to say.

S.J. Lee (sjlee) | 2 comments Hi all, looks like its been a while since anyone has posted but I'll introduce myself anyways.

I'm S.J. Lee. I write pretty much constantly but rarely get anything finished, have a nasty habit of getting swamped in the planning process of my characters and scenes I want to do (has taken me years to complete and self-publish just one book). I read a lot more fanfiction than published authors and lean mostly towards urban fantasy romances.

Used to be a pretty avid video gamer and it inspired a lot of the tropes I use in my stories and I'm a big fan on Kinoko Nasu, his work even inspired me to create my own collective universe (dubbed affectionately Leeverse in honour of his Nasuverse).

Fire Type (FireType) | 13 comments Hey, S. J. It's true that there hasn't been much posted, and I'm partly at fault. Assignments and all that take priority, unfortunately. :)

I'm more into writing science-fiction, historical fiction, and mild fantasy (not "And thus the Boglrogs and the Hoogyu departed for Mit're in the land of the Swollen Sun..." with so many uncommon character and place names. If that's your thing, congrats. I prefer the writing style in Jim Butcher's Dresden Files.). I don't read much romance, but it's always interesting to meet new authors.

Anyway, we're united by procrastination, so you're welcome here. I'm not sure what the plan is for the group, but I suppose the point of procrastination is not getting things done.

S.J. Lee (sjlee) | 2 comments Urban Fantasy is essentially what you get in Dresden Files, although my own work is probably closer to the feel of Kinoko Nasu's works with Type-MOON although it's real hard to get the games or novels in English although if you get the chance I strongly recommend Kara no Kyoukai. Essentially its take the modern world and then place something fantastic within it.

Fire Type (FireType) | 13 comments I haven't read either, but I'll see if I come across them. I have the translation problem often because I'm constantly recommended novels which are printed only in Japanese. I guess that's a reason to learn the language.

I'm not sure where the other members have disappeared to, but I know from experience that it's hard to start a group on the site. Props to everyone for joining.
