I had such high expectations for this! Maybe that was where I went wrong but it was actually a bit of a disappointment for me. I just think that there could have been so much more descriptive rhetoric. Everything was a little too cut and dry for me.

Yes I was missing the decriptive part as well. but I did enjoy the whole idea of the story, it just wasn't developed enough
the romance was thankfully not overdone. I think it's easy to grow feelings quite quickly if you're in such a situation, I actually liked it.
Same! I feel like romances are so overdone in dystopia/apocalyptic books and while I can understand that a romance would grow quickly under such circumstances, I always became annoyed at how the romance became the focal point instead of surviving or figuring out what's happening with the world. So I loved that this romance wasn't too overblown!
