Sarah (seiren) | 75 comments I read a lot of D&D books when I was in 4th-8th grade. They may have been forgotten realms, or dragonlance, something of that sort. This publication was probably around 2000-2004.

All I remember from this book is a scene where the party is falling, and the older wizard casts featherfall to save himself. He doesn't complete the spell before landing, and instead the magic summons a ton of feathers, which saves the other falling party members. I believe the scene was told through the viewpoint of a rogue.

I know it's hard to find a book from one scene, but I'd appreciate any help!

.Fizban and Tas are running from the red dragon, via the chains to lower the blocks of stone to seal the fortress; the dragon breathes fire and melts the chain, Fizban tries to cast Feather Falling, but instead ends up conjuring falling feathers, which cushion Tas's fall.

It sounded like something Fizban would do but it doesn't match up completely as it's only Tas and not an entire party and it's published originally in the 80s, but it's worth a shot.

Sarah (seiren) | 75 comments Perfect! I remember the name Fizban. I must have mistaken it for a new book at the time. Thank you so much!
