Jayce's dorm

Diana made her way up to the wooden door of the dorm, holding a basket of fruit. She had not seen her friend in a while, nor heard from him, so she decided to pay him a visit. She wanted to make sure he was not ill or anything, and honestly just wanted to check up on him. Putting the basket in one hand, she knocked on the door. "Hey Jay? Are you home?" She asked.

The room was dark and it was difficult to see anything. The only light was a small blinking red light near the back of the room. Something shifted near the light but made no sound.

Diana opened the door to see the scene. Sighing, she found the light switch and flicked it on. "Jay? Heppy (was it heppy? I forget) ?" She looked around the room.

Jay was laying face down on his bed with Heppy curled up on his back. He appeared to be asleep but he made no movements at all. His chest did not rise and as it did when one breathed. The red light continued blinking steadily.

Diana carefully made her way over to the bed, sitting on the edge of it. She tried to shake Jayce awake, but to no avail. Then she went to wake up Heppy. "Hey Heppy, wake up."

Heppy groaned and rolled over. He muttered "Off." Sleepily and the light clicked off. He curled up again and tried to go back to sleep. He seemed very tired. More so than usual.

Diana sighed. "On." The light flickered on as Diana picked up Heppy, poking him gently. "Hey Heppy." She said with a smile. "Wake up~ it is Diana." She continued to poke at his little face until he woke up.

Heppy giggled and pushed hey finger away "Stop it that tickles." He opened his eyes and looked at Diane "Oh hey. It's you." He said sleepily "Missed me that much huh." He smiled "Thanks for the snack yesterday."

Diana just stared at him. "Heppy, what are you talking about? No one has heard from you guys for the past two weeks, i was getting worried." She said with concern. "Your door was unlocked, so i let myself in and i find you two asleep, and i am unable to wake Jay." She looks around. "Plus this red light keeps blinking."

Heppy blinked slowly and said "Weeks? That's weird." He yawned "Red light? Funny. The red light won't turn on unless something bad happens. Can I go back to sleep?" He struggled to keep his eyes opened. "Man I'm tired. Do you have anything to eat?"

Diana nodded. "Yeah, i brought food." She paused and then pointed to the blinking red light. "And you don't mean that blinking red light... right?" She said with concern as she handed Heppy and apple.

Heppy poked the apple then took a bite "I've never had apple before. It's weird. It's all fleshy." He said absently. He glanced over at the red light "Yeah that one. It would be real bad if that one turned on." He chuckled a bit and took another bite. Then he opened his eyes as his brain slowly processed what was going on. "Hold on. How long has it been." He stood up and looked at the red light. He seemed more alert now.

"About two weeks, i would have came earlier, but rent was coming up and i needed to go on a job." She said. "Something is the matter, isn't it." Diana sounded very concerned. "Just so you know, i tried to wake up Jay to no avail."

Heppy downed the rest of the apple in one bite. "Alright this is not good. If we were out for that long and my tiredness that means for some reason Jay stopped producing power. He's still alive but he won't be able to wake up. Pass me another apple. Since I can't get power from jay I'm gonna have to eat human food." He shuddered a bit "Maybe even meat."

Diana nodded and handed over the whole basket. "Here are apples, bananas, oranges, and a watermelon." She said as she moved a bit closer to Jayce. "He will be alright... right?"

"Hopefully. I have to figure out what's wrong though." Heppy ate some more fruit and examined the red light that was on Jays ear. "Jay built a lot of safety measures into his system so this wouldn't happen." He started pacing nervously trying to figure out what to do.

Diana just watched. "If i remember correctly, his body is somewhat like a machine right? with artificial blood like mine?" She asked, knowing that Heppy knew what to do.

Heppy nodded "Yeah." His eyes sparked "I have an idea. If I can access his files I might be able to figure what caused this." He hopped up on Jays back and poked different spots on his neck. Once he finished a section of the back of his neck slid out like a filing cabinet and Heppy looked inside "Here are all of Jayces memories. Every thought, feeling, sight. Be very careful."

Diana looked at what Heppy was doing, and was very intrigued. It was interesting that everything was stored in a place that was different than a brain, but she sldid not care. "Do you need me to do anything?" She asked.

"Not right now but stay here just in case. I might need some help later." Heppy waved his claw over the panel and a holographic screen appeared in front of him. There were many files and heppy began scrolling through to find the right one. He glanced at Diane then turn so his back and the screen were facing the wall.

Diana just watched him work, following Heppy's instructions. She had no clue what was going on, but just watched and listened. However, worry still weighed her body down, yet she did not care.

Heppy searched through the seemingly endless files "I'm sure its' here somewhere." He picked up another apple and ate it "My system is going to be so clogged after this." He muttered. He squinted at one file "Hey I don't remember this one." He opened it and took a closer look. Heppy glared up at Diane. "Care to explain this young lady." He turned the screen toward Diane and it showed a view of a sleeping Diane from the other side of a bed.

Diana just looked at him. "You were there too Heppy, the room only had one bed. You slept in the middle." She laughed. "I was really tired, i think i fell asleep on Jay, and then he carried me there. I don't really remember." She then glared at him. "Dont get the wrong idea."

Heppy narrowed his eyes at Diane "I was asleep too. I have no way of knowing what happened. What did you do to Jayce you devil woman?!" He barked and stood up.

Diana stared at him, before waking him on the head. "Get it in you head, search through more of his memories, i dont care! Nothing happened!" She whisper yelled, with slight embarrassment showing on her cheeks. It was around the time that she actually needed to sleep, and was running low on energy. If she remembered correctly, she passed out on the faris wheel.

Heppy grumbled and hissed at Diane but sat back down and kept searching through Jayces memories. After a minute he mumbled "Geez you even corrupted his dreams." He rolled his eyes and continued searching.

Diana tried to keep herself from prying. 'He dreams about me?' She thought before turning to Heppy. "Should i leave? I mean this is some very personal stuff you are shuffling through." She asked.

"Yes please leave!" Heppy said grumpily "Your evil presence is distracting me devil woman." He opened a folder titled 'Sleep monitor'. "Here we go. This holds all info jay records while asleep. If it happened at night this is probably where we'll find it."

Diana looked at him. "Why did you not look in there first- oh wait." A smile appeared on her face. "Are you Jealous?" She said with a smirk.

"NO!" Heppy shouted "Why would I be jealous?! I've been with Jay since the begining so our relationship is much stronger than yours ever will! At least... it should be..." He started searching through the file to find two weeks ago.

Diana smiled. "I know, i know." She said. "I was just teasing. I doubt that i could ever replace you Heppy." She chuckled before staring at the ceiling. "How long has it been sense i met you two?"!

[Kehl]

Heppy calmed down a bit "I'm not sure. At least a few months. We did a lot in not a lot of time." He opened the file "Found it!" He watched video Jay recorded from sleep two weeks ago. It showed his room at night with the window open. Then a shadowy figure climbed in the window. It looked at Jay and Heppy then walked toward them. He touched jay with something that looked like a small stick and then the video cut out.

Diana looked at it. "I'm guessing that is not good." She said. "They must have known how to cut out the video and monitoring system, which is pretty bad, wouldn't you agree?" She said.

"Yes. They must have know about what Jay is and found a way to do this." Heppy said worriedly "What should we do?!" He yelled beginning to panic.

"Camn down Heppy. Can you reboot the system?" Diana asked calmly, but her hand unconsciously grabbed Jayce's, showing she was definitely scared.

"It would be risky. Especially since I don't know what caused his to shut down." Heppy said trying to calm down. He exited the hard drive on the screen and started looking for a way to reboot him.

"Hm...." diana said. "Did you get at least a shot of the guys face? I could probably use that to track him down and ask him what he did to Jay?" She suggested. "Or maybe he left clues around by accident?"

"I can try to get a picture for you." Heppy nodded and pulled up an image of the intruders head. He zoomed in and focused then brightened it to get the grizzled face of a man.
