Graeme Rodaughan Hi All,

Seeking advice on launching A Traitor's War.

I'm thinking about using goodreads with the help of some groups to run simultaneous read and review of ARCs (.mobi/kindle) to generate an initial set of reviews.

I would offer the files for free along with a free copy of A Subtle Agency.

Reader/reviewers would PM me with their email address and I would email them a copy.

Reviews, once made would carry the standard free ARC statement.

The aim would be to stack up a few good reviews for the book quickly. The presence of positive reviews will quickly enable me to engage paid advertising (typically there is a minimum review threshold) for ATW.

Thoughts?

Nik Krasno | 19865 comments Sounds like a reasonable plan. After all they have reviewers and beta-readers (who may also want to leave a review) groups inter alia for these purposes. Don't know how many reviews you can garner this way, but it doesn't hurt to try...

Graeme Rodaughan I need a minimum of 5 reviews averaging 4 stars.

Then I can access paid adds.

Nik Krasno | 19865 comments As far as I remember Tony Parson is a serial, speedy reviewer in one of the groups.. Some others might want to have a read.. 5 reviews is a realistic target. If you have betas, they might want to leave a review.

Graeme Rodaughan My aim is to provide polished final versions for the ARC reviews.
