Sequels not written by the original author

Do you have any strong feelings either way about reading or not reading a sequel written by someone other than the original author?

I enjoy reading them usually. It is fun to compare my imaginings of the rest of the story to the those of someone else.
What I find annoying is a series being continued after the author's death as if no one will know the difference!
