LB | 18 comments Hello, I'm writing in regards to the Colours of Love series by Kathryn Taylor. The series was translated from German into English, and there are a few problems with the way English books are displayed. Specifically this one: Seduced - Colours of Love, it doesn't come up in an English search, the pub. date is wrong (should be March 14, 2017), and reviews are showing up for the book, but they are for the wrong book - and also in other languages, not english. The books in the series are listed correctly here, on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...
Could someone please fix this? Thank you!

Arenda | 26447 comments I have corrected the pub. date, that seems to be updated on Amazon: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

About search: when searching for a not very specific title, like seduced, there will just be too many results. It is just how the search works, and not something librarians can help with.
(Adding the author name will usually help in getting better search results; searching with ASIN or isbn when those are known is the best way to find a specific book.)

About reviews: all translations should be combined, as is GR policy. Every reader can choose their edition to leave a review. These reviews will also show on all other editions. (Reviews can be filtered to show only those for that specific edition). This is also not a librarians issue.

About the series page: https://www.goodreads.com/series/1037...
On a series page, the edition that is visible there is the edition that is most shelved by users, which currently are the German editions.

I have corrected some titles according to GR standard. Apart from the pub. date, which I corrected, nothing needs to be fixed for this book.

David Raz (davidraz) | 13124 comments May I add two points.

Point 1: Regarding the edition that shows on searches and on the series page, it is either the most popular, or the "default edition", which only the author can set. If Kathryn Taylor wishes to claim her account she may do so by following this link: https://www.goodreads.com/author/conf...
She can then set the default edition by following these simple instructions: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...

Point 2: The way books on series are numbered is different on Amazon and on Goodreads. We follow these guidelines:
https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/4...
Since Unleashed is only 50 pages, we give it a minor edition number, and the numbering will be different than Amazon. I hope this explains the difference.

I'm still working on cleaning up titles and was just going to post this.
English edition #3 on Amazon = #2.5 in the GR series
English edition #4 on Amazon = #3 in the GR series
English edition #5 on Amazon = #4 in the GR series

David Raz (davidraz) | 13124 comments Sorry I butted in, I thought you were done :)

Arenda | 26447 comments No problem.
At first I thought I was done too, just cleaning up some titles. And I was working on the combine page for this author, not only this series, where several other books also had issues.

LB | 18 comments Hi there, thanks for your help with this issue. I didn't realize that even the German version would come up for English page users. Apparently due to the differing GR/Amazon naming systems, many reviews for book 3 (Amazon) or 3.5 as GR calls it, are landing on Book 4. Is there anything we can do to fix this? The reviews should really be matched with the appropriate book. And finally, is it possible for the author to set the German book as default on goodreads.de and the English book as default on goodreads.com? Thanks again for your time.

Arenda | 26447 comments Librarians can't move reviews.
I have separated an English edition that was incorrectly combined. After separating and recombining, it can take up to a couple of days before all reviews are showing correctly.

Only one edition can be the default.
I have never heard of Goodreads.de, and when I try to access it, it redirects to Goodreads.com.

LB | 18 comments Ah, ok. I assumed there was a separate German Goodreads site like Amazon.com/Amazon.de. That explains why both the German and English reviews are on Goodreads.com then. I'll keep an eye out regarding the reviews. Even if reviews appear for the wrong book, are they simply left there? Thanks again for helping sort this out.

Arenda | 26447 comments Only users can move their reviews.
