What is meant by adding 50 books? adding them to my read, currently reading or want to read shelves or making 50 new pages for 50 new books or book editions?

It means having added at least 50 books (in total) to your shelves on Goodreads.

I've shelved more than 900 books, applied many times and still can't become a librarian!!
Is there specific words should be included in "Why do you want to be a Goodreads Librarian" box?

You should regard it as an application for a job. List your skills (in sofar as they are useful here), knowledge of languages, etc.

They do not always need new librarians.
