Kelly Marie (kmarie83) | 12 comments Can I ask why all my books keep going to another author's page with the same name?

Every time I have a new release, I have to send a request to get it added to my page. Why do they automatically go to this page? Is there not a way to resolve this? I would prefer if I didn't have to send a request every single time I get a new release. I do publish books very often and I have another one coming again soon.

Thank you.

Abcdarian | 26579 comments The other profile is the default, single-space one, while yours uses 2 spaces between first and last names, which is how we sort the books between you. (Doesn't affect searches etc.) Any auto-imports go to the default profile, but you can avoid this by adding the book yourself first, using 2 spaces in the author name (Kelly^^Marie, ^ = space). As long as the ISBN/ASIN is already on Goodreads, the auto import bots won't add that edition again.

You could try contacting Support and asking to be changed to the default profile on the basis of the number and frequency of your books; that's not something librarians could do for you.

Gerd | 1050 comments The problem is with the way GoodReads handles different Authors of the same name, which is by simply adding a space between first and last name.

The easiest solution would be if a Super changed this Authors name to two spaces (she doesn't seem very active)
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

and then your name to a single space.

That would be my recommendation anyways.
That way all your new entries would go automatically to your profile.

Only staff/support can do that, supers can't edit GR author profiles.
