Dia Thao (diathao) | 2 comments Please help. I am looking for a historical romance book I read sometime between 2009 - 2012. The story starts off with them waking up the girl and marrying her to the guy at a young age. The guy was forced to marry her for some reason... during the time they were married they lived like friends. He loves another lady... I believe she was a servent in his fathers house or a member of socitity. I cannot remember. Anyway, when he was forced to married the heroine the lady went a got married or became a mistress and had like 5 kids. He told the heroine about the lady and how long he had waited for the opportunity for the lady to be free as his. He made a deal with the heroine that if she can give him an heir then she was free to find a lover. There was something about an stuffed rat in a libaray that the lady give the hero that he wouldn't let the heroine touch because the lady gave it to him... I would like to re-read the book again but cannot remember to name. Can anyone help?

Mrsbooks | 269 comments Ravishing the Heiress. I don't recall a stuffed rat though.

If this is not your book you should put some identifying plot details in your header that way it will grab people's attention who wouldn't have opened the thread without it.

Deborah It is, indeed, a stuffed rodent but not a rat. It was a dormouse named Alice. Creepy, either way.
