a little window to my soul

Hey, so I'm Emily, and I know not many people will end up looking at this, but I don't mind if anyone posts anything here, just be respectful of course. So here I'll be putting some of my poems and just sharing my thoughts and sometimes how my day was. If you disagree with something I say or my opinion on a topic, please disagree respectfully, and if you can't do it in a civilized manner, keep it to yourself.


So a little about me:
-I'm fourteen and in 8th grade
-I have 3 siblings, and in less than a week I'll have 4 step-siblings
-I have 3 cats at my dad's house, Nutter, Fred, and George, and a French Bulldog (also at my dad's house) named PeeWee.
-I also have a cat at my mom's house, named Kookie
-I'm almost all Irish
-I'm obsessed with fire, stars, polaroids, and books
-Fav books are Throne of Glass series, ACOTAR series, The Winner's Trilogy, The Young Elites, and about a thousand others
-I also write poetry, and sometimes short stories
-I do art. Mostly painting, because my drawing skills are the worst
-I am a Grammar nazi, so if you does not know hows to English, please stay away (yes that terrible grammar right there is killing me but I had to lol)
-I take French in school, so I'm not so good at it, but I can handle a basic convo
-I love math (stop giving me that look I'm not crazy I swear)

So just because I'm so tired of hearing people justify their arguments by these:

"Curiosity killed the cat" isn't the full phrase, it's actually "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back," meaning you should be curious because it pays off, not that curiosity is bad.

"Blood is thicker than water" is also not the full phrase - it's actually "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb," meaning that relationships formed by choice are actually stronger than relationships by blood, not the other way around.

ok so guys I just looovvveeee seeing people's handwriting because it's basically the written equivalent of a person's voice. also note that we were all taught to make our letters the same way, but we each write them differently.

Well apparently smarter people tend to write the messiest because our hands can't move fast enough to keep up with our thoughts ;)

So annoyed at stupid Trump like I get Syria did some seriously effed up stuff to its own citizens, but bombing them could lead to retaliation from Russia, and possibly even to an all-out war if it escalates enough. Like yeah something needed to be done about the people who gassed the Syrians, but it would've hurt them more to have to live with that and see the footage of what they've done and know they killed children very painfully
