rated it 5 stars

Can you explain how your star rating system works? My book has three reviews with star ratings - one five-star, one four-star, and one one-star review. But the overall rating that Goodreads is giving the book is one-star. My math may be rusty, but I can't figure out how those pieces of information make sense. how does this happen?

Average ratings are cached and only calculated every one or two days (I think I heard that, could be wrong about the frequency). ANyways, I refreshed the stats on your books. Average rating should update in a few minutes.

Hi, could you please refresh the stats on this book please. I have a few reviews but none of them are reflecting in the stars etc.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Could you refresh the stats for me as well? It says on my dashboard that I have 95 ratings, yet on the 'author' area it says I have 98 ratings. When I count them up, I do have 98, but 3 aren't being calculated...
Are the ratings for this book calculated correctly? Only two ratings, a 2 and a 5, but that should average 3.5. Instead it shows a rating average of 2. The last rating was 2/2014, so I don't think it's a timing issue.
I reset #8.
It gets confusing when a thread linked to a specific book or author is also used for other books. I am closing this thread. Start new ones for other books.
